Chinese e-commerce company JD.com on Monday completed strategic investments in three embodied intelligence companies: Spirit AI, LimX Dynamics, and EngineAI.
JD.com says it is focusing on supply chain scenarios that drive innovative applications, according to local media outlet Securities Times.
JD.com invested nearly RMB 600 million ($84 million) in Spirit AI, while the sums invested in LimX Dynamics and EngineAI this round have not been disclosed.
Spirit AIFounded in February 2024, Spirit AI focuses on general-purpose embodied intelligence by integrating AI brains, robotic hardware, and scenario-based solutions.
LimX DynamicsFounded in January 2022, LimX Dynamics specializes in the development of multi-form legged robots, including bipedal, quadrupedal, humanoid, and wheeled systems.
