JD.com has launched its intelligent robotics division, according to sources.
Last week, the company completed strategic investments in three embodied intelligence companies: Spirit AI, LimX Dynamics, and EngineAI.
In May, JD also joined a new funding round for AgiBot (Zhiyuan Robotics), co-investing with the Shanghai Embodied Intelligence Fund and SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation).
At the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), JD unveiled its upgraded large model JoyAI and introduced a new embodied intelligence brand, JoyInside.
By integrating JoyAI, JoyInside adds interactive capabilities to robots, toys, and other devices, supporting character customization and diverse applications.
