Divide, a Hong Kong/NY startup, confirmed on its blog that the company has been acquired by Google for an undisclosed sum. The startup added that Divide staff will join Google’s Android team, but it promised “Divide will work as it always has”. Divide, formerly known as Enterproid, is an enterprise mobile computing platform that helps organizations and individuals to get the most out of mobile technology and corporate BYOD policies. The company was founded by former Morgan Stanley, MTV and Smule execs and had raised a total of US $25 million from the likes of Google Ventures, Comcast Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, Globespan Capital Partners and Harmony Partners. Despite former focus on Android system, Deivide also introduced an iOS version in 2012.image credit: Divide
