The number of registered WeChat accounts has reached 1.12 billion, with 440 million monthly active users, the company disclosed yesterday. WeChat has more than 20 language versions, covering users in more than 200 countries and regions. Public Accounts, used by businesses, organizations or individuals to interact and engage with their WeChat subscribers, now number 8.5 million, with 25,000 being added daily. Some 76.4% users check Moments regularly to share or consume content shared by their contacts. Interestingly, this is higher than the percentage of users (67%) who use WeChat for messaging.
