The town hall, through its Historic Centre Department, has launched the third edition of its “embellishment contest,” inviting neighbours to decorate streets, squares, façades, and balconies in the old town. The idea is simple but powerful: highlight the beauty of the historic quarter by giving locals the chance to shine. In some cases, entire streets can team up collectively, while in others, individual homeowners or even renters can take part. This is another way for Velez-Malaga to preserve its architectural charm and invite its residents to come together in a project that makes the historic centre sparkle.
