JLR has said it will partially resume some production in the coming days after a cyber-attack forced operations to shut down almost a month ago. The carmaker had previously announced that its production shutdown, following the hack on 31 August, would run until at least 1 October. “We would like to thank everyone connected with JLR for their continued patience, understanding and support. The production restart will take place in phases and the Wolverhampton engine plant is expected to take priority. Over the weekend, the Department for Business and Trade said it would underwrite a £1.5bn five-year loan guarantee to JLR.
