Tributes continue to be paid to the late Dr Martin Mansergh who died suddenly while traveling in North Africa on Friday. Dr Mansergh was 78. President Higgins says it is with sadness that so many will have learned of the death of Dr Martin Mansergh. The president also acknowledges the contribution Dr Mansergh made as vice-chair of the Expert Advisory Group on the Decade of Centenaries in more recent years. Dr Mansergh was awarded an Honorary Degree by Trinity College in 2023 to mark the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Peace Agreement.
