He finished the competition with a complete set of seven medals from seven races. The young Czech swimmer’s determination became clear on the final day of the World Para Swimming Championships in Singapore on Sunday, when he shattered a 23-year-old world record in the 400m freestyle. ‍♂️17-year-old David Kratochvil smashes a 23-year-old world record in the men’s 400m freestyle S11 (4:19.83), closing his #Singapore2025 campaign with 4 golds, 1 silver, 2 bronzes, and 1 WR. During the seven day Championships, Kratochvíl also claimed four additional gold medals - in the men’s 50m and 100m freestyle, and in the 100m butterfly.
