Nurse inspired by childhood plush giraffe hopes to collect 200 pre-loved toys for kids in needWhen nurse Emily Yap stumbled on her old plush giraffe during spring cleaning, she was hit with a wave of childhood memories. Her mother, Stomper Audrey, told Stomp she is now rallying for 200 pre-loved toys to be donated at the upcoming Children's Charities Association (CCA) Annual Fair, happening on Oct 18 at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza. For Emily, it's also about showing how meaningful it can be to give items a second life. Emily, who also founded the youth volunteer group Dunearn Youth, hopes families will take the opportunity to teach their children about compassion and sustainability.
