(Blooming Grove, IN) – A teen is dead following a single vehicle crash that happened early Sunday morning on State Road 1 near Blooming Grove. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says deputies and emergency personnel from the Blooming Grove Fire Department were called around 4:30 a.m. to the 14,000 block of State Road 1. The preliminary investigation indicates a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Ethan Heath of Laurel was northbound on 1 when it went off the east side of the road. Deputies say the vehicle struck a culvert and a driveway, went airborne and rolled several times. In addition to the Blooming Grove Fire Department, deputies received assistance from the Franklin County Coroner’s Office, Brookville Police Department, and Indiana State Excise Police.
