Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has terminated the appointment of Hajiya Zainab Baban-Takko, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development, with immediate effect. Gidado noted that the governor appreciates the commissioner’s service to the state and extends his best wishes for her future endeavors. This shake-up in the state’s leadership follows recent disciplinary actions by the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission. Last week, two senior officials were dismissed for document forgery, in violation of Public Service Rule 0327, which prohibits falsification of official records. Additionally, the Commission also terminated the employment of an education officer earlier this month over allegations of sexual harassment.
