China’s education gap is a huge problem. It’s also hoped that the proliferation of low-cost smartphones and education tech in the market will democratize education in rural China, where roughly 70% of China’s population live. There has been a project done in rural China to explore how the phone games could possibly be adapted to English literacy learning. IoT is now widely adopted in the education sector to help teachers engage their students. Seoul-based SmartStudy is utilizing IoT to make its content more engaging and interactive for children, providing IoT devices and IoT toys and connecting them to mobile applications.
