Aspire Academy Worcester has submitted plans for the sporting facility to the city council. If approved, the pitch would have a 3G artificial surface, “rebound” fencing and four LED floodlights. “The proposed development area is currently tarmac unused grassland within the academy’s boundary, already allocated for outdoor recreation,” the school says in planning documents. “However, there currently are no dedicated sports facilities on site.”It says the pitch would support “both education and community sport in line with FA standards”.
