Voting is under way in The Vicksburg Post’s Athlete of the Week contest. This week’s nominees are swimmers Matthew Busby (St. Aloysius) and James McKenna (Warren Central); and football players Lakelan Pecanty (Porter’s Chapel) and Jadarius Henderson (Vicksburg High). Voting is open until midnight Tuesday, and you can vote as many times as you want until the deadline. James McKenna, a senior with Warren Central’s swim team, won the 100 yard butterfly in 1:00.53, the 100 backstroke in 1:03.26, and was on the winning 200 yard medley and 400 freestyle relays at the Demoruelle Invite on Sept. 27. WC won the boys’ team title as well.
