A Mexican national received a prison sentence on Sept. 25, 2025, after admitting to reentering the United States without authorization following a felony conviction.
Juan Hernandez-Sandoval, 45, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Beth Phillips to one year and one day in federal prison.
He entered a guilty plea on Feb. 6, 2025, to the charge of illegal reentry after a prior felony offense.
Court records show Hernandez-Sandoval had been deported or removed to Mexico on four separate occasions.
In 2017, he was convicted of being an alien present in the United States without admission or parole and was deported later that same year.
