Five plead guilty in $9.3M tech support scam targeting elderly

Five individuals have admitted to their roles in a fraud scheme that stole millions of dollars from elderly victims in ten states through a tech support scam.
Lambert and Stevens admitted working as couriers, while Darji, Parekh, and Singh acknowledged serving as handlers who collected the gold and paid the couriers in cash.
Singh admitted serving as a handler in Collierville, Tennessee; Universal City, Texas; and Greendale, Wisconsin.
Stevens admitted to courier work in Yuma, La Jolla, Collierville, Largo, Greendale, Oxnard, California; Long Island, New York; and Cincinnati, Ohio.
Lambert, Stevens, and Parekh are scheduled for sentencing in November, Singh on Dec. 3, and Darji on Dec. 22.
