A Lathrop man has been charged in Clinton County following a Highway Patrol stop on the night of September 27. Court information shows that 56-year-old Scott Christopher Wooten faces felony driving while intoxicated as a persistent offender and misdemeanor failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. Authorities reported that Wooten was driving north on Highway 33 when his vehicle crossed the center line multiple times. One occurred in Clay County in 2006, and another in DeKalb County in 2024. His first court appearance was scheduled for September 29 in Clinton County Circuit Court.
