Seneca, SC — Mary Lou McGuffin Land Cushman, 91, wife of the late Henry Ed Cushman, of Walhalla, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Lila Doyle Post Acute. A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Cushman was the daughter of the late J.Q. McGuffin and Rachel Turner McGuffin. Mrs. Cushman worked in textiles for many years but later retired from the Walhalla Police Department and was a member of Walhalla First Baptist Church. Mrs. Cushman is survived by her daughter: Rachel L. Smith (Cooly); son: Kirby D. Land, Jr. (Debbie);; grandchildren: Reah Land Smith (Andy), Roth Smith (Jessica), Matthew Land (Lisa), and Koban Battle (Anna); great-grandchildren: Aubrey Battle and Davis William Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
