Yesterday (Sunday, September 29), a TUI flight from Cardiff to Paphos was diverted to Birmingham Airport because of a bird strike after take-off. The plane landed at 5.30pm and was met on the runway by emergency vehicles. A spokesperson for Cardiff Airport said: “We are aware of an incident involving flight TOM6754 from Cardiff to Paphos on 28/09/25. “The safety of our passengers is our number one priority. “The aircraft diverted to Birmingham Airport (BHX) and landed safely at approximately 17:30.”TUI has confirmed the flight diversion was a precautionary routine procedure and there was no engine failure.
