Police had arrested two people after what they described as a “targeted attack” involving a “suspicious object” in Cowley Hill on Saturday, August 16. Today (August 22), the force confirmed Robert Kovacs, 38, of Tenby Road in Edgware, has been charged with attempted murder, making an explosive substance with intent to endanger life / injure property, and doing an act with intent to cause an explosion likely to endanger life / injure property. (Image: Brandon Bernstein) He was remanded into custody following a court appearance this morning ahead of his next appearance at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Monday, September 8. A 38-year-old woman from Borehamwood was also arrested in connection with the incident and has since been released on bail with strict conditions. Following the incident, controlled explosions were carried out before the item was declared safe and removed from the scene.
