Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival closed on Sunday after five inspiring days of talks, performances and family fun. This year’s festival featured a stellar line-up of speakers, with many events selling out well in advance. Families flocked to the free Percy Jackson-themed programme across the weekend, which proved a huge hit. Sue Briggs, chair of Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival, said: “We’re delighted with the response to this year’s festival. The Spring Weekend takes place from March 13-14 and the main festival takes place from September 24 to September 28, promising another memorable celebration of literature and ideas by the sea.
