James Witty, from East Lutton near Malton, claimed the World Conventional Ploughing title at the 70th World Ploughing Contest, held near Prague in the Czech Republic on September 5 and 6.
The win marks his second global crown, having previously secured the World Reversible Ploughing Championship in 2003.

Winning both the Conventional and Reversible world titles is an extremely rare achievement, with only three individuals in the contest’s seven-decade history having done so.
