Alison Harwood, from Optika Opticians on High Street in Weston-super-Mare, is supporting the campaign during National Eye Health Week, which runs from September 22 to 28. The week-long campaign raises awareness of the importance of eye health and regular eye exams. "Research has shown that spending too long on digital devices can have an adverse impact on eye health. National Eye Health Week organisers have also shared other tips for maintaining good eye health, including eating a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables and nuts, quitting smoking, exercising regularly and having eye exams at least every two years. Topics will include primary eye care services, children’s eye health, sports vision, eyes at work, ageing eyes and the message 'live well to see well'.
