Garrett Crochet had a great outing as the Boston Red Sox avoided being swept by the New York Yankees on Sunday. The Red Sox hosted the Yankees on Sunday Night Baseball, and Boston cruised to a 6-4 win after taking a 6-0 first-inning lead. After the game, Red Sox manager Alex Cora praised his ace for his performance and for helping the team avoid the sweep. Entering the game, Crochet knew he needed to be on his A-game and to help the Red Sox get back on track. The Red Sox are holding onto the second Wild Card spot.
