Mary L. Fougere, 96, of Newport, RI, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2025. She was the loving wife of the late Stephen P. Fougere for over 70 years. Mary is survived by a son Michael W. Fougere (Miriam) of Florida, four daughters, Katherine Fecteau (Paul) of Portsmouth, Patricia Baker of Newport, Marie Key of Saunderstown, and Annette Fougere Duke of Bristol, a sister in law Jeannette Perry of Portsmouth, along with 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and 4 nieces. Mary is preceded in death by her husband Stephen P. Fougere, their son Stephen J. Fougere, and son in law Hugo “Sandy” Key.
