Android Sideloading Rules May Not Be as Strict as They Seem

Google is changing how sideloading works on Android , and the move is stirring debate.
If an app isn’t verified, the system will block it—even if the file comes from outside the Play Store.
Instead, it will enforce the rule through a system app called Android Developer Verifier.
Android expert Mishaal Rahman noted that Google’s FAQ leaves an exception: Android Debug Bridge (ADB).
It means sideloading isn’t dead—it’s just harder.
