FROSTBURG [mdash] Juanita Kelsay, 86, passed away on Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, at Frostburg Nursing & Rehab Center after suffering a stroke. She was surrounded by her two sisters and two of her nieces as she transitioned to join her loved ones and her Heavenly Father. Born on May 18, 1939, to the late Hubert and Vergie (Minnick) McKenzie, she is also proceeded in death by sisters, Mary Agnes Burner, Catherine Twigg, Wilda Deal; and brothers, Jerry McKenzie and James McKenzie. Juanita worked at D&S Cleaners, where most community members knew her from her great work as a presser. She enjoyed crafting and could make something beautiful out of anything. She loved nothing more than to spend time with her family members. She leaves behind two sisters, Carol "Katie" Frost (Ron), who was her caretaker for the last few years, and Judy Rodeheaver (Dwain); two brothers, John McKenzie (Alice) and William "Buz" McKenzie (Vicky); a sister-in-law, Cecelia McKenzie; and many special nieces, nephews and extended family who knew her as "Aunt Wee Wee." A special thanks to Michelle Holliday, who helped ensure Juanita received the services and care she needed. Juanita donated her body to science, so a memorial service will be held at Divine Mercy Parish, St. Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg, on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at 11 a.m. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the mass at 10 a.m.
