NEW CREEK, W.Va. [mdash] Helen Elizabeth (Phillips) Obenshain, 63, of New Creek, died Aug. 11, 2025, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, Pa. Born Sept. 16, 1961, in Selma, Ala., she is the daughter of Terry R. Phillips and the late Margaret "Peggy" Elizabeth (Gibson) Phillips. She was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy "Dakotah" Llewellyn. Helen had worked as the finance manager for Weimer Chevrolet of Cumberland, Md. She had been involved in the automotive industry for 28 years, having also worked in Moorefield, Keyser, and Romney, W.Va. Helen was known for taking care of her customers — keeping their best interests at heart when making decisions. In her spare time, Helen enjoyed traveling, sightseeing and attending concerts. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Logan J. Obenshain; two sons, William Llewellyn and wife Kasey, and Austin Obenshain and partner Cody Huntt; a brother, David Phillips; father and mother-in-law, Larry D. and Margaret "Mimi" Obenshain; sister-in-law, Jody Obenshain; brother-in-law, Justin Obenshain; and six grandchildren. A Celebration of Life memorial will be held Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, at Brooks Park, S. Mineral St. (220), at the intersection of Carskadon Lane, Keyser, WV, from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to assist with medical and funeral expenses are appreciated.
