Manchester United defender, Matthijs de Ligt, has responded to the criticism channelled towards his manager, Ruben Amorim over their disappointing results. The Dutchman backed his manager, insisting that the players alone should take blame for their poor performances, especially against Brentford last weekend. De Ligt said the formation being used by his manager is not the problem, insisting that the players should be taking the blame. “That also has a lot to do with focus, concentration and, if that’s lacking in key moments, it’s going to make a difference. “We were short in key moments where we made the wrong decisions.”
