The NT government has appointed a new head of the Department of Children and Families. As chief executive, Brent Warren brings more than 25 years of public sector experience to the role. Currently deputy chief executive at the Department of Housing, Local Government and Community Development, Warren has previously held executive roles at Territory Families, Housing and Communities – which reverted to its original moniker the Department of Children and Families in 2024. Cahill acknowledged Raelene Burke, who has been the department’s acting chief executive. “I sincerely thank Raelene for her contribution and commitment during her time as acting chief executive.
