A tunnel in the centre of Brisbane providing an underground corridor for some of the city’s major bus routes officially opened on Monday. After two years under construction and running beneath one of Brisbane’s oldest thoroughfares, the 213-metre-long Adelaide Street tunnel will carry around 1,400 bus and metro trips between North Quay and King George Square station every weekday.
