Feed your spirit, not your flesh
[]
The Observer
Scripture describes this as “The flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh.” (Galatians 5:17) There’s the part of me that wants the comfort, attention, pleasure and approval from others.
The world says, “Live for yourself,” but the Spirit says, “Live for something greater.”When I follow the voice of the flesh, I end up restless.
Living for God means remembering that everything on earth is temporary, but God is eternal and everlasting.
That’s when I know I need to step back and feed my spirit.
God and the Spirit may require sacrifice, but they lead to a life that’s full.
