ABC 57CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- Officers with the Cass County Police Department responded to a fatal two-vehicle crash on Saturday at approximately 6:44 p.m. near the intersection of M-51 Hwy and Crystal Springs St. in Cass County. The driver was identified as Steven Dodd, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The 53-year-old Sault Sainte Marie man was transported by EMS to South Bend Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger of the at-fault vehicle, a 24-year-old from South Bend, was also transported by EMS to South Bend Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the crash. It is unknown if seatbelts were worn at the time of the crash.
