Taste Cumbria's flagship festival was held in Cockermouth on Saturday and Sunday. There was an array of food stalls selling artisan crafts, including speciality cheeses, deli meats, chutneys, hot sauces, and much more. There was hot food available, including smash burgers, hot dogs, loaded fries, and Thai cuisine, among other options. Other Taste Cumbria festivals are now held in other parts of Cumbria including Maryport, Wigton and Carlisle. Councillor Anne Quilter, Cumberland Council’s Executive Member for Vibrant and Healthy Places, added: “It is fantastic to see how far Cockermouth and Taste Cumbria have come since the devastation caused by the floods of 2009 sparked the idea for these festivals.
