A Melbourne motel dubbed the worst in Australia has finally sold despite its less than favourable past. After four years on the market the Stay Inn located at 844-846 Sydney Rd in Coburg North was snapped up earlier this month by a local developer. NSL Property Group managing director Guy Naselli could not confirm exactly how much the site sold for, but told 7NEWS.com.au it was “comfortably” around the $3.5 million quoted price range. “You get people who are in family violence, domestic situations where children are removed, wives are removed,” he said in the documentary. He said the new owner was going to repurpose the site into accommodation using its existing infrastructure.
