FATE, TX (Sept. 19, 2025)– At the September 15, 2025, City Council meeting, the Fate City Council approved the Fiscal Year 2025–2026 budget and adopted a new property tax rate of $0.290869 per $100 of assessed value. Key Priorities in the FY 2025–2026 Budget Include:Public Safety: Includes a compensation plan to raise Public Safety and civilian staff salaries. To boost its road maintenance program, the city approved $1.8 million annually to road maintenance. Parks and Community Amenities: A major focus for FY 2026 is enhancing the City’s park system.
