The Australian dollar rose 0.15% to $0.6557, and the New Zealand dollar inched up 0.07% to $0.5780. He added that markets are assuming the shutdown will be temporary and that critical data will be available before the Fed’s late-October meeting. Separately, the Reserve Bank of Australia is set to announce its rate decision on Tuesday, with expectations it will keep policy unchanged.
