DeKalb County will have to fill a vacant seat on the county commission after District Three Commissioner Tony Luna resigned Monday night. “I believe they have all tried to do what they thought was in the best interest of the county and the districts they represented.”The county commission unanimously approved accepting Luna’s resignation. Several citizens spoke during the public comment period on various topics, including Luna’s resignation. The commission did not discuss the process or a timeline for filling the vacant seat on the commission. The commission approved a resolution to recognize the 50th anniversary of the DeKalb County Fire Department.
