That earned him tremendous respect as people began to respect his strength of character, because most people would have just given up. One of his greatest plays came against the Miami Heat on April 7, 1997 when he had a beef with Alonzo Mourning. Hill and Mourning went down - Hill basically took Mourning down - and they were not getting along. On the following play, Hill came down, juked his defender, Dan Majerle, then went right at Mourning, flushing one right in his face. It’s great to see this to remember how impossibly good Hill was before things went south for him with the injuries.
