Thiruvananthapuram, September 29, 2025: Kerala Governor Rajendra Arlekar today inaugurated the second edition of Sammohan 2025 — a unique national festival celebrating the creativity and potential of children with disabilities — by lighting the traditional lamp at the Different Art Centre (DAC) in Thiruvananthapuram. From classical dance and music to theatre, visual arts, and magic, Sammohan 2025 features inspiring performances that challenge stereotypes and highlight the limitless capabilities of children with disabilities. Speaking at the inauguration, Governor Rajendra Arlekar described the event as a deeply meaningful celebration of strength and determination. “Sammohan is more than a festival — it is a movement that celebrates the spirit and strength of these children.
