North Andover - Maureen E. Voisine passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on September 7, 2025. She was born on January 26, 1940 to the late John and Elizabeth Ord and was raised in Lawrence, MA. Maureen attended St. Patrick Grammar School and High School. She married Peter, her husband of 55 years in 1961, and after raising a family, Maureen worked at Naiman Press and in the North Andover Public Schools before retiring in 2010. Maureen was very active at St. Michael's Church in North Andover. She started the Prayer Shawl ministry which provided knitted shawls to hundreds of parishioners during times of illness and in their final days. She also was very involved in the church's St. Vincent de Paul Society which provides food and other necessities to those in the parish and community who are in need. In addition to her work within the church, Maureen practiced her faith by always reaching out and assisting friends, family and community members who requested a helping hand. Maureen's greatest contribution in life was imparting her indomitable spirit on everyone around her. Her positive attitude was infectious and inclusive to all who met and interacted with her. Amongst the most important aspects of Maureen's life were her dedication to her family, her Irish/Scottish heritage and the love of her church. These facets of her life were always on display for all to see. Maureen is survived by her children Michael Voisine (wife Patricia), Carla O'Donnell (husband Sean), Melissa Skarbelis, and Kristen Curran (husband Matthew). Maureen is also survived by her grandchildren: Christopher (wife Allyssa), Sarah (husband Duncan), Brendan, Michael, Alex, Nolan, Sean, Dan and great-granddaughter Harper. She was a big part of her grandchildren's lives never missing a birthday, graduation or significant event. While on earth Maureen mourned those that she lost including her husband Peter, her mother & father, her brothers Jack & Bob, daughters Tara & Katelyn, granddaughter Meghan and numerous other family and friends. Calling hours will be held at the Conte Funeral Home on 17 Third Street in North Andover on Friday September 12th from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael's Church at 10:00 am on Saturday September 13th followed by grave side services at the Ridgewood Cemetery in North Andover. Maureen's favorite color was red. Feel free to wear something red in you can attend the wake or funeral. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, charitable donations be made to continue Maureen's legacy of helping others by giving to: The St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Michael's Church 196 Main Street North Andover, MA 01845. A special "thank you" goes out to the caring staff in the memory care unit at Ashland Farm who provided loving support to Maureen over the past two years.
