Photo ProvidedINDIANAPOLIS – The selection process for the 2026 Indiana Teacher of the Year has been narrowed down to the Top 3 finalists— Martin Briggs of La Porte Community School Corporation, L.A. High of Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation, and Megan Johnson of Plainfield Community School Corporation. “Out of more 65,000 teachers across the state, we have identified three very impressive finalists for Indiana Teacher of the Year,” said Dr. Katie Jenner, Indiana Secretary of Education. Crichfield Elementary School in the La Porte Community School Corporation, the corporation where he has taught for 47 years. Megan Johnson is a fourth grade teacher at Central Elementary School in the Plainfield Community School Corporation. The Indiana Teacher of the Year, who will be announced in October, will represent Hoosier teachers statewide.
