SPADONE[mdash] Nicholas A., "Nick," 89, Windber, passed away September 14, 2025, at home surrounded by loving family. Born February 5, 1936, in Windber, son of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Abbott) Spadone. Preceded in death by daughter, Tina Pavlick, and sister, Mary Campitell. Survived by loving wife of 67 years, Elizabeth L. "Betty" (Rosa) Spadone; son, Kevin N. Spadone, married to Susan; grandchildren, Brat #1, Amanda R. Pavlick-Chicarell and her companion, Eric Kaniuk; Brat #2, Benjamin N. Pavlick; Nicole S., married to Will Chase; and Austin M. Oldham, married to Alyssa; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, August Spadone, married to Susie; and sister, Erma "Lori" Morgan; also by numerous nieces and nephews. Nick was a devout Catholic, a faithful life member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the Abruzzi, Scuba Club, Pistol Club, Hog Group, and a free Mason. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and many friends. Nick enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, watching Windber Football, Penn State Football and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, Sept. 17, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home of Windber, where vigil service will be held at 5 p.m. and legion service will be held 6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Fr. Rod. Committal to follow at church cemetery with military honors by Windber VFW.
