Microsoft has announced a second price increase for Xbox Series X|S consoles in the United States, rising from between $20 to $70 across its hardware range. The retail price increase will start from October 3, 2025 "due to changes in the macroeconomic environment," Microsoft stated in a blog post. "We understand that these changes are challenging, and they were made with careful consideration," the firm said. "Looking ahead, we continue to focus on offering more ways to play more games across any screen and providing value for Xbox players." At the time, the firm said the changes were due to "market conditions and the rising cost of development."
