BALTZER[mdash] Charles Adwood, 99, of Charlotte, N.C., passed away on September 17, 2025, at Southminster. Born in Johnstown, PA, on July 1, 1926, he proudly served in WWII with the 94th Infantry Division, earning a Bronze Star and other honors. After the war, he earned degrees from Indiana State Teachers College and Penn State University. He married Margaret Johnston in 1953, and they enjoyed 59 loving years together. Mr. Baltzer worked for Celanese Corporation, retiring in 1988. He and Margaret were long-time members of Myers Park United Methodist Church. He was also a dedicated Mason, initiated into Johnstown Lodge No. 538. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held in Charlotte, N.C., and at 2:00 Friday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, Johnstown, PA, where he will be laid to rest at Grandview Cemetery.
