In the end, it was Cargin who held their nerve in a penalty shoot-out as the reigning champions came back from the brink in extra time. With just three minutes of additional time left, Creggan were one point ahead and in possession. Cargin were staring into the jaws of defeat but they themselves should have seen the game out in normal time. Cargin took a two-point lead again with O’Neill and Tomás McCann both on target but Creggan rallied again.
