The optional TASCAM Recorder Connect smartphone app with AK-BT2 Bluetooth adapter can be used to remotely control the TASCAM FR-AV4. The field recorder can be powered by four AA batteries, a USB-C power source, or an optional PS-P520U AC power adapter. The TASCAM FR-AV4 has an MSRP of $999 and is scheduled for release in October 2025.
