Share this: TweetWhatsAppThe United Nations (UN), on Friday, September 26, awarded service medals to 188 Rwandan Police peacekeepers in recognition of their outstanding contributions to peace, security, and humanitarian efforts under the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA). In his address, Commissioner General Arfaoui praised the Rwandan peacekeepers for their exceptional service, particularly highlighting their critical role in protecting civilians and conducting around-the-clock patrols in Bangassou. “The efforts of Rwandan Police peacekeepers go beyond traditional peacekeeping duties,” said Arfaoui. Rwanda maintains four police contingents under MINUSCA, deployed in key locations across the Central African Republic. These include RWAFPU-1 and the Rwanda Protection Support Unit (RWAPSU) in Bangui, RWAFPU-2 in Kaga Bandoro, and RWAFPU-3 in Bangassou.
