A fiery, head-on crash led to one death and the closure of a major roadway in both directions in Chino Hills on Sunday, Sept. 28. Shortly before 5:50 a.m., two vehicles traveling in opposite directions on Carbon Canyon Road collided head-on, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Carbon Canyon Road remained closed in both directions from Chino Hills Parkway to Feldspar Drive as of about 3 p.m., the City of Chino Hills said on X. There was no access to the road from the Chino Hills side. Carbon Canyon residents were advised to access the road from Brea.
