Ford ProThis year, Ford is celebrating 75 years of making police patrol vehicles. First installed in the Ford Model 18 (known to many as the “Ford V8”), the Ford Flathead could produce 90 horsepower. There is a letter in the Ford archives reportedly from Clyde Barrow of Bonnie and Clyde praising the Ford V8. And that included law enforcement patrol vehicles. Over 75 years of making special police package vehicles, Ford has produced many iconic patrol cars.
